Konvekta CO2 heat pump thermal management system for electric double-decker buses is a milestone in the development of sustainable technologies in the public transport sector. After many public transport companies have converted to electric mobility, the demand for further bus variants is also growing.
The Konvekta CO2 heat pump for double-decker buses obtains heat not from a fuel or through electricity, but from nature - from the ambient air. Thus, from a fraction of supplied energy, you get back many times more, while achieving a high level of climate comfort. To achieve 100% heat, the Konvekta double-deck CO2 heat pump requires only 1/3 drive current from the battery. Thus, by using natural resources, compared to electric heating, 2/3 of the energy normally required is saved.
Since the last edition of Busworld Europe, electric buses have surged, boasting longer ranges, faster charging, enhanced technology, and increased adoption globally.
